New Logo & Rebranding With LogoJoy

When I first decided to start this blog, I quickly threw together a logo to suit a WordPress theme I had saved in my files. Quick and easy. It gave me an online presence. I always knew I would brand this venture properly in time. There just isn’t enough hours in a day!

I can use design software and create a logo, but then you have to think about saving all the different versions. Then creating it in different sizes for all the different social media networks, Instagram profile, Twitter header, Youtube… Plus if like me, you saved them all to your desktop amongst 200 other files and they get lost in time.

LogoJoy asked if I would like to review their service. Before I said yes. I had a quick look at what they offer. I only like to promote brands and services I love and actually use. Instantly impressed that you could create a logo without having to give any of your information over or make a payment. Very quickly realised this was an answer to my prayers. I could literally have all my branding achieved within a few minutes.

Type in your business name, and a slogan if you wish. It then asks you to pick 5 logos from a ready-made selection. This gives the app an idea of what you like from a logo. Then pick some colour palettes, and then the fun part of picking an icon.

There were literally 1000s of icons to pick from, searching ‘house plant’ gave me cute little succulent pots and cactuses I searched ‘blogger’ it gave me coffee and a camera, how true! I searched ‘Interiors’ and it suggested an Eames style chair and a colour palette book. There really is an icon for any trade you could imagine.

You can select any colour background, I went for white as that is the background colour on the blog. You can pick the font for the business name, plus a different font for the slogan. I love the addition of the gold foil, which can be applied to the whole logo, or just the business name or slogan.

The navigation of the website is really easy, you can just keep scrolling through variations of the fonts and icons you suggested until you find something you like. Once you have decided on everything and select preview, it shows you the logo as it is. You can then preview it on a business card, tee shirt, or this very glam gold foil version on a black background.

Only then when you are happy you can order your logo, the basic package of $20 just gives you a simple low-resolution logo, but if you opt for the premium package, which is currently on offer with a 50% discount you get:

  • High-resolution PNG
  • Vector EPS and SVG files
  • Transparent PNG
  • Lifetime phone support
  • Font names & colour palette
  • Brand guidelines
  • Full copyright ownership
  • Make changes and re-download
  • Print-ready

The brand guidelines are really in depth and would be perfect to link to from your media pack or T&C on your website. Here are my branding guidelines to show you an example. So within an hour, I had a new logo, and all the variations I could ever need as a blogger for all the platforms I use.

I just want to say a huge thank you to LogoJoy for allowing me to try their service and I would 100% recommend it. It’s perfect for bloggers or any business startup. Having consistent branding across all networks was the first thing I learnt when I started blogging, and it is really very important if you want to make a career out of it.
