October Lounge Update Featuring Homesense

How is it possible.. November tomorrow? This year has flown by. We started the buying process in February, finally moving into our home in August. Now we have only 7 weeks until Christmas! Thought I would give a little update on our lounge, plus share all my new purchases. I am really excited to decorate this house for Christmas, tempted to put the decorations up in November! Any one else planning to start decorating early?

These Palmistry And Phrenology Candles from Rockett St George. I love the design on them, and will probably never light them. If you have never ordered from RSG, sign up to their newsletter as it gives you a code for free p&p. Also the black vase with the gold dragon fly on, was a bargain from Homesense and only £3.99. Didn’t really need another vase, but for that price and being gold and black, it just fell into my trolley.

This table lamp from Westmen Lights, I love the industrial style of it mixed with the glam gold tones of my bar cart. (Also the enter to code Layneyloves for a discount on their website). Just to add their lights do come with USA plugs, so I had to cut it off and replace for a UK plug. They sell some really stunning ceilings lights if you are wanting industrial style lights.

Like most others I can’t resist falling into Homesense for their seasonal ranges. Lucky for me it was the best day as they had started to reduce their halloween stock, and I found these 3 pumpkins. All together costing me £12. Love a bargain! The 2 candle lanterns were reduced in HobbyCraft for £4 each.

Also this little hand blown vase, which looks tiny in front of my carbouy in the background. It will be going on the dinning table once the pumpkins have been put away. Also Homesense for £4, too many bargains in that shop!

This last couple of weeks I have been busy painting the lounge in Charcoal Sketch by Valspar. I really wanted Railings by F&B, but I just can’t justify the price at the minute, but this was a close match. I am so happy with the finish and it feels so cosy in here now. Also so happy to get my neon heart light from Next back up on the wall. Once all the halloween decorations are put away, I am going to take some more pictures to show the whole room and how the paint looks.

The biggest purchase this month was probably our new coffee table from Next. It is currently in the sale still, it is from the Kendall range. I know on Instagram a few said to not get rid of my mid century table, but I found it too small. Plus having a bigger table means I can display more on it, and I can’t wait to dress it for Christmas.

*Westmen Lights, are offering my readers a discount of 30% with code “LAYNEYLOVES”

Your lounge is looking fab. Got to love Homesense, it’s full of wonderful bargains. I really like the bold colour of your walls. I’m after a f&b colour for our lounge, we get B&Q to colour match it, it is so much cheaper. #bloggershomes

HomeSense is definitely one of my ‘go to’ places for affordable nick nacks – it’s a treasure trove of gorgeousness! Love your new table and also the cute little pumpkins – I see you have a few baubles thrown in for some Christmas sparkle. Fabulous! I’m planning to put a tree up this weekend (don’t tell my husband 😉)
